Damn you Sephiroth…!

So, I’m still not done with that damn FF VII. Seriously, what was Square thinking with Sephiroth’s Super Nova attack? I’ve timed the attack animation, and it takes roughly 1 minute, 30 seconds from start to finish and is nearly impossible to survive. This is going to take longer than I thought…

In the mean time I’m nearing the end (I think) of Fallout 3. The main quest has picked up quite a bit and I’ve just escaped the Project Purity lab where the Enclave attacked us. I probably would’ve been done with the game weren’t it for my bouts of Street Fighter IV with my house mate yesterday (man this game absolutely shines in local VS play) and the fact that I started God of War Collection. GoW is still fun as ever and looks surprisingly sharp in HD. Can’t wait to finally play GoW2!

“Eleanor”

There are a few titles in my library that have basically been untouched. Now, I don’t mean just any titles, I mean must-play-before-I-die titles. I’m talking of course about Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, Okami on the Wii along with Silent Hill 2 and 3 for the PC and the oh so epic Shadow of the Colossus. Then there’s Final Fantasy VII that I downloaded onto my PSP and got about 98% into only to get destroyed by Sephiroth’s final form. I’m such a pain in the ass that I wait so long for “the right time” to play these games that I end up never playing them. Well, as of now I’ve decided to make completing these a serious priority for the next few months and before I buy any more games.

The first game I’ll tackle will be FF VII. This has been my “Eleanor” (from Gone in 60 Seconds, if you were wondering), the game whose completion has escaped me so many times due to corrupt saves, scratched discs or having to give the borrowed PS1 back to my friend. If I can finally cross it off my list it will be a great day indeed.
